Taiyo Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and other companies belonging to its corporate group (hereinafter referred to as “our Companies” or “we”) consider and recognize that appropriately handling and protecting personal information is our important social responsibility and endeavor to protect personal information in accordance with the policy as set forth below by complying with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and all other relevant laws, ordinances and regulations in order to fulfill such responsibility.

• What Is Personal Information?

  Personal information herein means information enabling our Companies to identify a specific individual customer or information peculiar to such customer such as the address, name, phone number and email address of such customer provided thereby to us.

• Acquisition of Personal Information

  When our Companies receive a customer’s personal information, we shall explicitly specify our purpose of use of such personal information and will acquire it by lawful and fair means to the extent required to achieve such purpose.

• Purposes of Use of Personal Information

  Our Companies shall use personal information acquired from customers for any of the following purposes with the approval given to us by such customers for using it or when it becomes necessary for us to use it in order to fulfill an agreement with such customers:
  ・In order to introduce or supply our product, service and/or relevant information to our customers
  ・In order to respond to an inquiry or request for any data from our customers
  ・In order to carry out the procedure for selecting and employing an applicant for an entrance examination and clerical work accompanying such procedure
  ・In order to go through any administrative formalities under any law, ordinance or regulation
  

• Control of Personal Information

  Our Companies shall take necessary and suitable measures to ensure the safety and control of personal information against risks such as unauthorized access, loss, corruption, falsification and leakage thereof as follows:
  ・Control access to specific personal information, etc. such as narrowing down access right holders and controlling passwords
  ・Place restrictions on and control the means for taking out specific personal information, etc.
  ・Take measures to protect personal information by adopting physical measures and encrypting hardware, software and communications
  

• Provision of Personal Information to a Third Party

  Our Companies shall not disclose or provide any personal information to any third party without obtaining the approval of the person to whom such personal information is related to except if such disclosure or provision is allowed or required under any law, ordinance or regulation.

• Notification of Purpose of Use, Disclosure, Correction, Deletion, Disposal, Suspension of Use, etc. of Personal Information

  When a person to whom such personal information is related to requires our Companies to provide notification of the purpose of use, disclosure, correction, deletion, disposal, suspension of use or the like of such personal information, we shall respond to such requirement without delay unless otherwise required by any law, ordinance or regulation. When such personal information becomes unnecessary for us in light of the purpose of use thereof, we shall erase and dispose of such personal information. We shall make such erasure and disposal by necessary and adequate means so as to prevent risks such as the outward leakage of such personal information to the extent required for carrying out such work. In the event that any expenses are incurred such as mailing and system control expenses when we are required by such person to make such disclosure, correction, suspension of use or the like, such person may be kindly requested to bear an appropriate amount of the handling charges.
